Andrew Frishman
Andrew Frishman is the Co-Executive Director of Big Picture Learning, an educator and leader engaged in systems-level transformation of the education sector. He was a teacher for 12 years including, starting in 2002, an Advisor at The Met School in Providence, RI and an Advisor and Internship Coordinator at The Met Sacramento High School. He has also served as an adjunct professor in the Department of Education at Brown University and as an associate producer for Insight on Capital Public Radio. Andrew completed a masters degree in teaching (MAT) from Brown University, an administrative credential focused on urban schools from CSUS, the Sierra Health Foundation Health Leadership Program and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership (EdLD) at Harvard University. Andrew’s passion is the creation and support of vibrant innovative learning environments that increase students’ engagement, connection to the world, and improve long-term outcomes.
