Carole Lévesque

Walking, drawing, documenting: the work of Carole Lévesque invests in slow and lengthy processes for exploring forms of representation of urban territories, their temporalities, and their uses. Co-founder of the Bureau d’étude de pratiques indisciplinées, and research member of CELAT (Centre de recherche Cultures-Arts-Sociétés), her work explores questions that pertain to margins, deviations, and hybrid methods. In addition to her research-creation investigations, which have been the subject of international exhibitions and publications, she has collaborated with curatorial teams at the Centre de design and the Maison de l’Architecture du Québec. She holds a PhD in the History and Theory of Architecture and a Professional Master’s Degree in Architecture. Since 2012, she has been a professor at the UQAM School of Design, where she teaches design theory and practice.
