Susan Chai
Susan Chai is a practising architect from Canada. She teaches History and Theory at the Architectural Association, and is a visiting lecturer of architectural design at Southeast University, Nanjing. She is also the resident researcher and academic secretary of AS Forum of Contemporary Architectural Theories, established by Southeast University and Arcplus PLC in 2009. Having just completed a visual research project at the Royal College of Arts as the main collaborator, her new investigation focuses on digital environment design through social research, supported by the Faculty of Art and Technology, Central Academy of Fine Arts. Susan was an associate partner at PLP architecture, and has been developing a series of texts concerning translation in architectural discourse with the late Mark Cousins, director of AA HTS. She is currently the director of Miltonia, a research and design group based in London and Vancouver.
